Would recommend.
A brief shout out to Charlene S for making the barricade rental process quick and easy. As a first time customer, I found her friendly, patient, and helpful, even flagging and explaining a few issues I hadn't thought to ask about. She made a very stressful time (moving around downtown Seattle) a little easier, for which I'm grateful. Communication was clear and quick from beginning to end. Let's face it -- moving sucks. For the first time in over a decade, I was moving to a more residential area, which meant trying to figure out: how the heck do I get the movers in there?!

Luckily I found National Barricade, which, in addition to offering the full suite of services (from permitting to putting up the no parking signs to removing them) happens to be THE friendliest company I've maybe ever dealt with in Seattle. I called with appx 2847 questions and the folks on the phone were friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. Seriously, who knew working at a barricade company meant you are just the nicest people in this city?!

I ended up opting to get the permits myself and picking up the barricades there ($55). The staff placed them in my car for me, which is when I realized how heavy those things are! A few days after my move, I called to see if they would pick them up for a small charge (exhaustion from the move + heavy signs + traffic = what can I do to make this easier?) I think it was $18 (a bargain!) to have them come pick up the signs in lieu of me loading them back into my car and returning them myself. 

I hope to never move again (see above -- I hate it!) but if you need those No Parking signs in this city, National Barricade is the answer. (Seriously, thank you!)

You are blocking the sidewalk with your no parking signs! This is CaR PoLotiCs! What happens between you and the cars can stay on the road! They already take up 90% of the space,

I ran out of water while playing basketball on a hot August day. Walked over as they were closing down and asked to please refill my water - they took me inside and let me use their very nice filter system. I was moving from out of state and needed barricades for my moving pod. I contacted National Barricade about if they offered set-up of barricades (they did) and the whole process was stress-free (they applied for the permit + set up the barricade on time while I was still out of state). I rented some no parking signs through National Barricade recently. It was a new process for me and all the staff I interacted with did a great job of walking through everything. I'll note that the location is huge! Definitely an experience within itself if you haven't been. Good, simple service.  Fair and honest pricing.  What's not to like?    I'm a regular person (not in construction) who needed "no parking" barricades.  I called ahead. Its an old school business so they answer the phone (no recorded messages!), and the folks that answer the phone actually work in the office.  So when I arrived, they remembered me.  And I got in and out in 10 minutes. When I brought the barricades back, I was also in and out in 10 minutes.  Everything was clear, simple, and the pricing was fair (and, I hear, cheaper than most places--but you'll have to do your own comparison shopping depending on what you need.) Bob, Paul, and Steve saved me after I slid down a hill and lodged against their truck. They brought salt and a tow pulley and helped me park securely so I can go back once everything is thawed. I could start and end this review by saying National Barricade saved my life and made my move easier than lifting my finger, but that would do a disservice to the fantastic service I got from National Barricade.  I needed two barricade "No Parking" signs for my  move, and had no idea where to start. I tried another barricade service that was too complicated and wanted to charge me $200 for two signs, so I tried National Barricade instead. I called them, and immediately a very kind woman answers the phone. She informs me that I will just need two signs for the move I was doing, and that I could rent them for $45 for both. She said I could order now and pay on the day I picked them up. It was absolutely no hassle. On my pickup day, I picked them up, they were ready and waiting, one of their staff helped my fiancé and I load the signs into the car, and they made the process very quick and easy.   I greatly appreciated how responsive and friendly National Barricade was. Everyone I spoke to was so straightforward and kind. They even offer a delivery and pick up service for your signs for a small fee of $10-$15.   They are a very cool business that I would definitely recommend! Want to give these folks a pre-emptive 5-star review. I haven't had a chance to use their services fully, but their phone-based customer service is fantastic!  Having spent days trying to figure out Seattle's convoluted Temporary No Parking Zone process, I gave up and called National Barricade. The woman who answered the phone was very helpful, and quickly walked me through the process, gave me quotes for different levels of service, and was generally awesome! Have been using this business for years - because there literally no one else to use. If you want to get CONTINUOUSLY scammed by being charged for "'missing barricades" EVERY TIME we use the service - then use them . I rented signs as part of a move, so that I could block off the street for a moving  truck at both our origin and destination. Pricing is pretty straightforward, with a minimum charge of $38.50. There's a charge per day per signed that you take out. I rented seven signs, which gave me 12 days without exceeding the $38.50 minimum. This place is old-school, and their office looks like something out of the 70s, with no online ordering system or anything like that, but the customer service is pretty good. You walk into the office to place your order and pay, drive out back where the signs are then loaded into your vehicle. Excellent prices and straightforward service for no parking signage. As you may know, in many situations, all you gotta do is go to the city website and complete a notice template a few days before you need it. Then get these barricades to post it on!
